Indian Pavilion Welcomes over 128,000 Visitors at the Expo 2020 Dubai

The Union Minister of Commerce and Industry of India, Piyush Goyal said that the Indian pavilion at the Expo 2020 Dubai witnessed around 128,000 visitors in the first 25 days of the mega event.

Goyal shared the news via Twitter on Tuesday. His tweet read those massive footfalls were evidence of the developing world interest in the New India story. The mega event started on October 1, 2021, and will end on March 31, 2022. According to Goyal, the Indian Pavilion is the cherry on top of the beauty of the event. He called the Indian pavilion the “Crown Jewel” of the event. He further added that it had emerged as the most visited and liked pavilion.

In order to express the pleasure of achieving the milestone for the Indian Pavilion, the Indian Consulate in Dubai tweeted by saying that the Indian Pavilion at the Expo 2020 Dubai had achieved 100k visitors in only three weeks of the opening ceremony since October 1, 2021. The Indian pavilion is now the most visited pavilion at the Expo.

As per a report of Gulfnews.com, the opening by Goyal, who is the minister for Consumer Affairs, Food, Public Distribution and Textiles, embarked the beginning of an illuminating journey of India at the Expo 2020 Dubai. The tweet has been pinned by them on their Twitter account. 

It is being said that the legacy of the Indian pavilion will remain intact even in the coming 6 months of the event’s run. The tourists will get the chance to experience the different shades of Indian culture. In addition to this, they will get the chance to learn about the investment opportunities through the event. A plethora of cultural programs have been held in order to attract the attention of the visitors. Many dignitaries are expected to visit the pavilion in light of the Diwali celebrations. 

Not stopping here, the Indian Pavilion has also focused upon the science and technology which are conducted at India Innovation Hub. In that, a number of startup Indian companies will showcase their venture. In addition to this, a number of exhibitions will take place to showcase the culture of various Indian states and Union Territories.
